He was retired from the Army and attended Victory Church of God.
The family states Alvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. He was a Brother In Arms with his Military family.
He served with the U. S. Army for 29 years including, in Vietnam from 1966 – 1967.
Alvin is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Jackson; children, Jennifer Jackson Little, Terrie Ann Foshie, and Tim (Amber) Foshie; grandchildren, Christopher Little, Dreama Weaver, Logan Richie, Rhiannon Teal, Jace Teal, Kendyl Foshie, Riley Foshie, Riley Blevins, Loren Blevins, and Jace Blevins. Also surviving is one great grandchild, Rosie Weaver; one brother, Robert (Sherry) Jackson and two sisters, Joyce Moss and Gearldean Lewis as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Thelma Jackson; two brothers, Charles Jackson and Richard Jackson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 18 at 11 am in the chapel of Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Fillers officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain Home National Cemetery at 2 pm Wednesday.
Pallbearers are Brian Fillers, James Fillers, Jonathan Collins, Jason Ripley, Jace Teal, and Christopher Little.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
