Valerie Barbara Stoffregen

Born October 25, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Alberta (Corwin) Biermann. She was the valedictorian of the 1953 graduating class of Tripoli High School in Tripoli, Iowa.

Valerie was a homemaker, mother of five children and supportive spouse of her husband’s ministry in the American Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She loved family events and supporting her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors.

She also enjoyed bird watching and flower & vegetable gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years Virtus Stoffregen; parents; a daughter ValRae Sharon; and sister Jeanne Drape.

Valerie is survived by her children Kimberlee Motley, Noel (Matthew) McClure, Kori (Stacie) Stoffregen, Staci (Roderick) Weinschenk; a sister Margie Gass; grandchildren Kim (Josh) Reed, Lorretta (Frank) Davis, Meks McClure, Alex (Klayton) Vittetow, Seelye Stoffregen, Sedrick Weinschenk & fiancée Sophie Jones, and Whitney Weinschenk & fiancée Jalen Clark; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held later at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Sumner, Iowa.
