Rose Ada Wood

Rose "Rosie" Wood passed away peacefully on 8/28/2022. She was born August 24, 1947 in Indianapolis, to the late Margaret E. (Summerlot) Cooper of Bainbridge. Rosie is survived by the loves of her life, her children Brad (Lisa) Wood, Jana Higgins, grandchildren Anthony (Alex) Higgins, Tanner (Kayley McGruder) Wood, Ashton (Jaron) Berry, Trever Wood, Trey Wood, great grandchildren Charlotte Rose Higgins, Jaxton Jay and William Richard Berry, Brother Estel Cooper and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosie was preceded in death by her Mother, ex-husband Jerry E. Wood, sisters Phyllis Logelin and Ella Minnick, Brothers Lyle Cooper, Gary Cooper and Infant brother Kenneth Cooper. Rosie worked in Greencastle in the banking business for 40 years before retiring in 2012. A Celebration of Rosie’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. The family is asking if you plan on coming to the services please no black, bright colors only, this will not be mourning it will be a Celebration of her life.
