Rick L. Hinkle

Ricky Lewis Hinkle, age 64, of Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence.

Born April 23, 1948 in Greencastle, he was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Eugene and Sylvia Maria (Perry) Hinkle. He had attended Greencastle High School and Indiana University. He married Roberta (Aubrey) Hinkle on March 2, 1968 and she survives.

Rick had been a manufacturing engineer with Navistar in Indianapolis for 37 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the American Legion Post #58 and V.F.W. Post #1550, Greencastle.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Tina (Curt) Rogers of Greencastle and Shelia Parrish of Crawfordsville; a son, Troy (Jody) Hinkle of Greencastle; step daughter, Beth (Cary) Matthews of Crawfordsville; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

A brother, Darrel Hinkle had also preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home on Monday, August 20th.
