Richard Nile York

Richard Nile “Dick” York died peacefully at home in Greencastle, Indiana at the age of 81. Dick is survived by his best friend and closest companion, Debbie Geabes of Greencastle, her brother Steve Geabes, his brothers Steven York and Gerald York, a step-daughter Laura Beth Kaelin, nephews Robert York, Nick York, Peter York, and a niece Allison Giuffrida. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mildred York and a brother Robert York. Dick graduated from Greencastle High School in 1961. As a teenager and young adult he was known for his exceptional natural music talents. After serving four years in the US Air Force, Dick worked in the auto industry in Indiana and owned and managed a motel in Ft Myers Beach, Florida where he lived for 30 years. Per Dick’s request, no services will be held.
