Grandpa was one of the most decent people I've ever known. What I remember most is his warmth, and that he loved with his whole heart. He also had a very well developed sense of humor. 

Ralph knew that Peggy was the one for him when she baked for him that first chocolate pie. After he told her it needed a little something, she put it in the garbage disposal. Just imagine his shock when Peggy told him what she had done. Unknown to Peggy this was his way to get more chocolate pies. It didn’t take long for Peggy to realize his strategy. When we accused him of this, his eyes would twinkle and he would laugh. Ralph was a great jokester, and he was joking to the end. Ralph showed his love for Peggy when he learned to ride a horse to please her. Ralph was a musician not a horseman, but he did this for Peggy. Ralph was one of a kind, and we will miss him.

Grandpa you were always a jokester and had to tell us jokes. I remember when I would stay all night at your house. You would get us donuts at Marsh and grandma would say it takes him awhile he has to talk to all the ladies.  You will be missed so bad. I love the way you took care of grandma and she loved you so much. 
I love you grandpa and til we meet again.

Grampaw would take us on drives around town and he would always take us up to the college he tuned pianos at.

I remember Grampaw telling me about his time in the air force in WW2. 

Oh Grandpa I will always Cherish all the nights we spent with you guys and You would tell Grandma  you would handle breakfast and she would go on to work ..Then we would all climb in your truck and head for Mcds lol Then tell grandma you spent hours in the kicthen ..I will never forget those days love and miss you.   ❤Ricki ❤  

I don't know how to pick just one memory with you grandpa. I will always remember coming to you and grandma's house in the summer. You would run to the store I don't even know how many times making sure we had enough sweets in the house even though grandma always made us treats. Each one of us had nicknames, it was usually food related haha. You will be so dearly missed. Love you so much!💕

Ralph always loved my cooking I made 50 cakes in one year and he had a piece every morning he also loved his oyster dressing but he would always accuse Terri that he got all the oysters and he never got any. He also loved his piano and he was a wonderful piano player but never wanted anyone to hear him he also loved to dance and all his women friends always compared him too Freda stair. He always loved to drive me when I would sell real-estate and he would always joke with all my clients. Me and Ralph took many cruises we enjoyed and we also we went on many great vacations and we had a wonderful 39 years.

Ralph loved to fish and so my favorite memory comes from the time my father in-law and I were fishing at Leiber, and I invited Ralph to come fishing with us. Ralph shows up and I had told him he didn’t need to bring any tackle or a pole as I had everything we would need. He proudly said I have my tackle and produced a quart size baggie with a few hooks, sinkers, and small bobber. We all laughed so hard at his baggie tackle box.
Ralph was a good Husband, Father, Grandfather. He loved his family, and he held a special place in his heart for Mom and the apple of his eye his Granddaughter Sarah. 


I would like to start by saying no one could have had a better father in law than I did. He and my mother in law  are so very special and dear to my heart  love them both.
 Poppy my two favorite memories were with you at Christmas time there was always the smell of that wonderful meal my mother in law had prepared that greeted you at the door and You Poppy setting at your piano as those beautiful  notes of Silent Night filled the room as you played and always as I requested  Greenselves for you knew it was.my favorite  .Those keys are Silent now here but not in Heaven for you now play for our Lord Jesus  and someday we will here your beautiful music again..
     Last Poppy thank you for being such a good in law you and Mom both for I will always remember  the love you gave and exceptance to me and my children   I love you Poppy and Mom too . Rest in Jesus arm now Poppy  Love and miss you dearly   daughter  in law

I remember all the times he took me fishing early in the morning as a kid. Every time it would be a new pond, and he'd ask me about school, friends, and talk to me about his younger years. Grandma would make a huge homemade breakfast before we left, and  lunch would be fast food. Then we’d prepare and eat the fish we caught that morning for dinner. I never ate more than when I stayed with Grandpa  

The very first memory was mom was going to date and the first time she made a big pan of Sweet Rose for him and I ate them all up I think before he got there. The other memory comes to my mind was when I lived in Brown County h i m and mom went fishing they came back and he got out of the truck and mom was laughing he's all bent over he somehow had hook the top part of a zipper and stomach of a shirt he had hooked together so that's why he's all bent over we laughed about that but we got him all undone. Pop was a very good person and I sure appreciate how he treated my mother I love you Papa take care

One of my favorite memories of grandpa was going to his house and eating ice cream. We would watch tv shows and he always make me laugh with his hilarious jokes.

My favorite memory of Ralph....where do I start? I will forever remember his sense of humor. He always had a joke or a saying that kept us laughing anytime we were with him. But most of all, his love of family will keep his memory alive in my heart. Thank you Ralph for choosing Peggy to be your wife and making us a part of your family. We will miss you dearly. ❤

Grandpa you meant the whole world to me and i mean that u meant more to me than anything in the world and you always will I i miss you so much but i know u are in heaven with your mom, dad and sister. I have so many great memories with you and one of those memories is when u used to pick me up from Preschool and we would always go somewhere to eat after school and after we did that, we would go to yours and grandma's house and I would always sing you my new song I learned from school and that always gave you the biggest smile to your face. Another memory we have is when you would always come to our house and u would play with me  you would always bring tons of food over and then we would always sit down at the piano at yours and Grandmas  house and you taught me how to play (Merry Had a little Lamb) and (Happy Birthday) that was one  our favroite things to do together was to play the piano you and grandma always taught me something when I was little and when I learned it you would always get me some type of jewelry and I still have all the Jewelry you ever gotten me you meant so much to me grandpa and you still do even though you are in heaven I will always cherish that year I took care of u and grandma at the house all the memories us three had when  we all three were always laughing and smiling and we always had a great time I'll always remember all the bannah cakes i made and tomatoes sandwiches I made for u those were your favorites grandpa you meant more to me than words can describe I always told James I wanted him to meet you and I'm so glad u got to meet James he loves u as much as I do grandpa you gave me the best 16 years of my life you were more than a grandpa to me you were a best friend a role model a I love you more than anything even though u are gone grandma and I still sit here and talk about how much we love u and smile about it. thank you for the best 16 years Heaven sure is lucky to have you.
