Payton Lee Patterson

Payton Lee Patterson, 22, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Born December 8, 2001 in Danville the son of Stephen and Gladys Jeanette (Varvel) Patterson. He was a graduate of North Putnam High School “Class of 2020” and attended Olivet College. Payton was a topman with Poindexter Excavating. He loved to play video games, collect knives, go fishing, and play football for North Putnam High School. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen “Stevie” Patterson Jr.; grandparents Donna Varvel, Debbie Rogers, and Paul Patterson. Payton is survived by his parents Steve and Jeanette Patterson; sister Jasper Patterson; brother Braedin Patterson; girlfriend Ally Menke; grandparents Larry Varvel and Randy Rogers; aunts and uncles Billy & Lori Hasson, Christine & Rick Vanoy, Dana Kennedy, Paula Patterson, Larry Varvel Jr, and Vicky Varvel; cousins Austin Hasson, Owen & Mitchell Vanoy, Shere & Jacob. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Roachdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
