Born June 7, 1943 in Lawrence, IN, he was the son of Clyde and Bessie (Ross) Gaddis and was a graduate of Cloverdale High School “Class of 1962” Keith married Phyliss (Williams) Gaddis on August 26, 1966 and she survives.
He was a veteran having served in the United States Army.
Keith had worked seven years for the Lear Corporation, Greencastle and previously he was a jewelry finisher with Tharp Manufacturing, Indianapolis. Keith was also an avid golfer and sportsman, earning the 1962 Putnam County Basketball most valuable player of the year honors.
Survivors include children, Kimberly (Kurt) DeLong and Jeffrey Keith (Wendy) Gaddis; four brothers, Richard (Faye) Gaddis, Marcel (Rita) Gaddis, Duane (Debbie) Gaddis, and Jay (Karon) Gaddis; a sister, Judy McGaughey; five grandchildren, Aarica Lynn Gaddis, Kaitlyn Gaddis, Taylor DeLong, Kara DeLong, and Kameron DeLong; and his faithful dog, Chloee
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Gaddis.
Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Cloverdale American Legion 501 S. Main St. Cloverdale, the family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with services and military honors to be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Keith’s Life will follow from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
