

Judy was born on February 29, 1940 in Greencastle, IN to her parents Artie W. and Helen Grace (Bryan) McNary Judy graduated as the senior class salutatorian of Fillmore High School in 1958
She married her high school sweetheart, James Claude Williamson, on September 4, 1959. Together Judy and Jim enjoyed being with each other and traveling with family and friends.
Judy’s employers over her life included the Indianapolis Star newspaper, IBM, and South Putnam School Corporation. Judy served as a cook in the South Putnam cafeteria and then became the High School Treasurer and an administrative Office Professional until her retirement.
She was a member of Greencastle Christian Church, Putnam County Home Economics Clubs and the Fillmore Mothers Club. As well, Judy was a 10 year 4-H member and represented Indiana at 4-H Club Congress in Chicago, IL.
Her interests were many… reading mysteries, painting, crafts, and flower gardening. She was a precise, detail guided seamstress and an excellent cook, especially of deserts. The radio was on in her home so that she could enjoy some of her favorite artists such as Neil Diamond, John Denver, among others.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents and son Steven W. Williamson.
Judy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jim Williamson, as well as daughter Stacy L. Williams (Gary), son Chris Williamson (Tina) and daughter-in-law Julie Williamson. Grandchildren surviving: Ian Williamson, Ava Williamson, Ethan Williamson (Katie), Evan Williamson (Caitlynn), Elliott Williamson (Karlee), Alexis Williams, and Elijah Williams. As well survivors include brother Joe McNary (Linda), brother-in-law Jerry Williamson (Linda) and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private graveside service at the Fillmore Cemetery with Pastor Mark Miller presiding. Hopkins – Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle, IN has been entrusted with the arrangements
Sincere appreciation is extended to the many staff members at Mill Pond Health Campus and with Life’s Journey who cared for Judy and her family.
