Henry Oliver Thomas

Henry Oliver Thomas, 98, of Greencastle passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Mill Pond Health Campus. Henry was born in Rockville on December 23, 1924, the son of Joseph J. and Madge Hazel Thomas (Gross) Thomas, and was a graduate of Rockville High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geology from Indiana University. Mr. Thomas served proudly in United States Navy during WWII. He was a former member of Gobin United Methodist Church. Henry was an FBI Agent for 25 years in Philadelphia, New York City, and New Albany, New York. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Sledd Thomas; a son Henry Uel Thomas, (Nancy); a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Frame, (Dave); a brother, Amos Thomas; three grandchildren, Kendi, Tiffany, and Dawniece; five great-grandchildren, Lexton, Mitchell, Zaid, Ayanna and Landon; two step-grandchildren, Summer and Jeremy; a step-great granddaughter, Arysson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Noel F. Thomas, and John Thomas and a sister, Mary Jane Landis. Private family services will be held at a later date.
