Obituary of Harry Ray Elliott
Harry Ray Elliott, a man known for being a family man and strong in his faith, died on Monday, November 4, 2024. Harry, 88, of Charlotte, MI. formerly of Katy, TX, was born on July 27, 1936, in Groveland, IN. in Putnam county. While in high school Harry began dating Sandra Clodfelter and once she graduated, the couple would marry on September 8, 1957. Together they would spend the next 67 years creating lasting memories. Harry began working for IBM/Lexmark in Greencastle, IN. He started out as a Press Operator and was able to climb his way through the company. After 47 years he retired as a Regional Sales Manager, in Houston, TX. Harry was proud of the relationships he made with his customers and his ability to work his way up through the company. He was a devoted member of the Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy. In his younger years Harry enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, playing in softball and bowling leagues, their family summer trips to the UP, and always an avid golfer. Above all Harry was proud to say that he had a personal relationship with God. Harry is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; children, Monty Elliott, Mitch Elliott, Blythe (Kirk) Redman, and Brook (Rick) Archibald; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kylie, Madison, Kirk (Danielle), Chad (Ashlee), Michael, Brittany, Connor (Katy), Dalin, Kaytlin, and Noah; 5 great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren Jessica, Jonathon and their mother Lisa Mendez. and several extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, David and Phillip Elliott; and sister, Dean Wiggam. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Brick Chapel United Methodist Church in Greencastle, IN. with Pastor Mindy Huffman officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will be held after the service at the Bainbridge Community Building in Bainbridge, IN. Burial will take place at a later date at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Tx. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
