Carolyn Louise Anderson, fondly known as Carol to her friends and family, lived a life as vibrant and beautiful as the flowers she adored. Born on July 20, 1949, in Indianapolis, IN, Carol's journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on October 24, 2024, in Port Charlotte, FL. Her legacy is one of love, ambition, and an unwavering zest for life that touched everyone she met.
Carol's journey began as the cherished daughter of Chester and Ruby Reynolds, and she grew into a formidable woman who would become the beloved wife of the late Larry Ned Anderson Sr., to whom she was married for 51 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories. Carol was the proud matriarch of a family that includes her sons, Larry Jr. (Kim) and Tony (Stacie), and her grandchildren, Cody, Gaige, Leah, Jesse and Kate. She was also a doting great-grandmother to Sophia, Kai, and Rain. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she embraced every moment with them with open arms and an open heart. Carol was preceded in death by her dear parents, her husband, and her son, John, whose memories she held close to her heart. Sister, Geneva; and brother Buddy.
Carol's journey from waitressing to the successful owner of North American MFD Homes in Indianapolis and Ottawa Park in Greencastle showcased her remarkable drive and ambition. Her career was not merely a job but a passion, as she guided countless families to find their dream homes, leaving a legacy of warmth and dedication in the real estate community.
Beyond her professional achievements, Carol's love for life was evident in her diverse interests. A true matriarch, she was the heartbeat of her family, guiding with wisdom and nurturing with love. Carol's passion for horses was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her spirit, as she found joy in riding and caring for these majestic creatures. Her appreciation for beauty extended to quiet moments spent admiring flowers, a simple pleasure that brought her immense satisfaction.
Carol was a connoisseur of fashion, with a particular fondness for shoes. Her impeccable taste ensured that she had the perfect pair to match every outfit, a testament to her attention to detail and love for shopping.
