Valeria spent her early years in Minnesota, where she met and married Dean Bruce Goodew. Together, they shared over 25 years of marriage and raised nine children. Valeria and Dean owned the Torch Café, a beloved local restaurant where they enjoyed serving their community.
In December 1983, the family embarked on a new adventure and moved to Colorado. Valeria pursued higher education at Aims Community College, earning a business degree in 1986. Sadly, Dean passed away in 1992, but Valeria continued to thrive in Colorado, taking on various careers. She owned her own tax business, D&B Bookkeeping, and worked in Food Services with Northern Colorado Catering.
Valeria's passions extended beyond her professional life. She loved sewing, always ensuring new babies in the family had a handmade blanket. Baking and cooking were also dear to her heart, and she often took her children and grandchildren to pick fresh fruit for canning and baking. Her specialties included banana bread, pies, and a variety of jellies. Gardening with her daughters, bird watching, and feeding squirrels were among her favorite pastimes. Valeria also enjoyed dancing, reading, and playing bingo with friends and family.
Above all, Valeria's love for her family was unwavering. She was generous, strong-willed, and always put her loved ones first. Her family-oriented nature and willingness to move mountains for those she cared about will be remembered fondly. Valeria will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
