Sylvia was born March 27, 1986 in Denver, Colorado to Maria I. Urquidez and Hector Manuel Urquidez. She was raised in Sterling, Colorado and attended Sterling High School. She chose a career as a subcontractor in the field of construction.
Sylvia loved scrapbooking. She kept so many memories and pictures from when she was just a baby, to having pictures of her recent vacation this year to Puerto Rico. She loved traveling around the world especially with her two boys. Sylvia's two boys were her absolute world. She played the Father and Mother role and gave them everything and anything they asked for. She sacrificed everything she had to support herself and her boys. Sylvia and her mom would be on the phone for hours just talking and talking about their whole day. We have a humongous family and the family gatherings were always such a blast. Sylvia could light up the room with her smile.
Sylvia was a hard working woman. She would wake up at 4 a.m. in the morning to go to work and wouldn't come home until 5 or 6 p.m. Sometimes, she didn't even need an alarm because her body just knew what time to wake up.
She was loved by her whole family. Sylvia was daughter to Maria I. Heredia and Horacio Heredia. She had four sisters; Perla, Alexcia, Ariana, and Ady, four brothers; Hector, Marcos, Francisco and David. It was eight of us in total. Her two little boys were just two years apart and they were the cherry on top as they completed her world. There are a total of 10 nieces and nephews, without counting Nicholas and Dylan. Nothing beat being together as a family and being in the presence of Sylvia. In her last moments of her life, she found her true love; Ramiro Jr. Sotelo brought Sylvia so much happiness. She was the happiest we have ever seen her.
Sylvia is survived by her sons, Nicholas Martinez who is 10 years old and Dylan Martinez who is 8 years old; her mother, Maria I. Heredia; sisters, Alexcia Heredia, Perla J. Solis, Ariana Solis and Ady Urquidez; and brothers, Hector Urquidez, Francisco Orduno, Marcos Orduno and David Solis. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Adam, Raeleen, Viviana, Raul, Hector, Javier, Belen, Xavier, Andros, and Xandria.
She is preceded in death by her father, Hector Manuel Urquidez; an uncle Cruz Avalos; and her grandparents, Felipe and Celia Avalos.
