Shirley Ann Agens

She was born on January 12, 1946 to Harry and Esther Bruntz in Greeley, CO. Shirley attended Greeley schools through the 8th grade. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants, sold Avon and worked at Weld School District in the cafeteria.

On August 23, 1963 she married Dan Schulz at St Paul’s Congregational Church in Greeley, CO. Three children were born to this union, Don in 1965, Ron in 1966 and Roxane in 1969. They divorced in 1988. Shirley met the love of her life, her soulmate Bill Agens and they were married on Feb. 14, 1996. Shirley loved family get togethers, going to Black Hawk with Bill, dancing with Bill, spending time with the kids and grandkids. Shirley loved her life with Bill, they enjoyed traveling together and visiting relatives. Her hobbies were baking, cross stitch and sewing. Shirley loved to visit with people. When Shirley got sick Bill took excellent care of her, never leaving her side.

Shirley is preceded in death by her son Ron in 2017, her Mom Esther in 2003, her Dad Harry in 2017 and an infant sister Sharon in 1945.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Agens; her son Don (Patty) Schulz; daughter Roxie (Art Morgan) Williams; daughter-in-law Denelle Schulz; two grandsons, Justin (Amanda) Schulz and Jalen Williams; four granddaughters, Audrey and Sarah Schulz, Jasmine (Jeff) Garcia and Sharlyn Maes; three great-granddaughters, Brooklynn and Bailey Garcia and Rosemary Stribling; three great-grandsons, Braxton and Benzly Garcia and Bruce Williams; two step-daughters, Teryl (James) Wessels, Tame’ (Tom) Smith and two step-sons Troy (Cyndi) and Tracy (Margo) Agens; three sisters, Joyce (Rick) Warehime, Jan Herbst and Charley (Terry) Wadsworth and two brothers, Harry (Alisa) Bruntz and Ricky (Kelly) Bruntz and many step-grandkids, step-great-grandkids; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and friends.

Services will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 328 Walnut St., Windsor, CO.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, CO.

Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
