Sharon Joann Peterson

Sharon attended Roosevelt High School and was a 1963 graduate. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Regis College in 1991. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Hewlett Packard, in Fort Collins, from 1978 – 2002. Sharon married Steven Wayne Peterson in 1977, and although her marriage to Steven didn’t last, she kept his name and remained a part of the family. She was a long time member of Grace Community Church, in Johnstown. Sharon was a cherished resident by all at Fair Aces Manor and was an advocate for resident rights.

Sharon is survived by her nieces and nephews, Lori (Everett) Maggard, of New York, Les Dixon, of Holyoke, Colorado, and Rhonda (Junior) White, of Greeley, Colorado, sisters and brother by marriage, Kathy Nelson, of Longmont, Colorado, Roland (Mildred) Peterson, of Ord, Nebraska, and William (Hazel) Peterson, of Cleveland, Ohio, several great-nieces and nephews, and even great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, M. Neal and Freda, her former husband, Steven, a sister and brother in law, Gwen and Harold Dixon, brother in law, Forrest Peterson and a nephew, Ron Dixon.

Services will be held on November 26th at 10:00am at Grace Community Church in Johnstown CO. There will be a reception potluck following the service.
