Roseann M. Doll of Greeley died Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Hospice of Northern Colorado. She was born September 13, 1915 to Henry and Clara M. (Kocher) Ginder on the family farm near Stringtown, Illinois.
She grew up on the farm, assisting in caring for a number of younger siblings. On November 26, 1936, she married Joe Doll.
Mrs. Doll was very active in church and school activities, serving on many committees. In 1960, the couple moved their family to the Greeley area and established Doll’s Egg Ranch which provided eggs to restaurants and grocery stores. They lived on their farm, 2 miles east of Evans for 50 years, until moving to Meadowview Senior Living last August, 2011. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Mrs. Doll was known for her fabulous fruit cobblers and sugar cookies.
She is survived by her husband Joe; their six children and their spouses, Norma Wegher (the late Roland Wegher), Ron and Ruth Doll, Urban “Slim” and Sandy Doll, Louie and Nancy Doll, all of Greeley, Kevin Doll and Niki Kessinger of Aurora, and Greg and Elizabeth Doll of Marysville, Kansas; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sister Rita Stobaugh of Indianapolis, Indiana and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Janet Lynn Doll, a grandson, Jeff Doll, three sisters and four brothers. Rosann’s son-in-law, Roland Wegher, passed away the day after her death.
Visitation 4-7 p.m. Monday followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
