Ron married Sharon Young in 1975 in Sturgis, South Dakota. Ron was a miner and worked in the Henderson Mine, Black Hills. The couple moved to Greeley and raised three children, their adopted son Donivon, and daughters, Heidi and Crystal.
Ron lived an authenticate life and enjoyed being around the indigenous culture. He enjoyed reading westerns and his favorite author was Louis L'Amour. He loved classical western music as well. He enjoyed watching the rodeo and bull riding. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Heidi Wood, son Donivon Wood, two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron is preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Wood, his parents, brothers, and a sister.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Wood residence on July 28, 2024. Please make any memorial contributions to the Wood family to help cover medical costs.
