Ronald Alan Bush, 74, was freed from his earthly body on October 8, 2022. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is now pain free in his eternal home. He lived his life loving his family and serving others. His career was dedicated to meeting the needs of workers through his representation of and contract negotiation for various groups of retail and food workers with UFCW in Colorado and Florida. He also represented performers with Actors Equity Association in New York City and Florida.
Ron was born in Denver, Colorado December 8, 1947. He married his first wife Jan there and they were blessed with triplets Barbara, Pamela, and Stephen in 1976. They later divorced. In 1996 his work took him to Florida where he met his current wife, Susan. They married in 1999 and moved to Greeley, Colorado where he retired in 2002. They loved to travel and spend time with friends and family around the firepits on their patio and in their backyard. This was their “happy place.” Ron was always improving and beautifying their home until his health interfered. Even then he would plan and supervise projects and complete them with the help of friends and family. He was a perfectionist when it came to his projects resulting in beautiful work. He was also an amazing cook and loved preparing meals for others.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Susan, his daughters Barbara Hayes (Randy) and Pamela Vanatta (Adam Meyer), stepsons Ben Price and Greg Price (Amy), grandchildren Kyrstin Nelson (Jared), Mikayla Hayes (Justin), Mariah Hayes (Ashley), Kaity Schultz, Konnor Vanatta, Tara Harms, Nicholas Bush and Violet Price. He was most proud to be Great Grandpa to Kyleigh, Rylei, Paislee, Madeilynn, and Wesley.
He is predeceased by his Mother Rose Arko Bush, Father Leeroy Bush, and son Stephen Bush.
Services will be held Monday, October 24th at 11 AM at Macy Chapel Allnutt Funeral Home 6521 W. 20th St. in Greeley with reception to follow. Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to Dayspring Foundation Tuition Scholarship Fund in care of Allnutt Funeral Home.
