Robert "Bob" Koch, 81, of La Salle, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in the comfort of his own home. He was born August 23, 1940 in Greeley, Colorado to Henry William and Ona Mae (Madsen) Koch.
Bob was born at the 11th Avenue Greeley Hospital and remained a native of Colorado.
Bob's first confirmation class was through Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley, where he was also a member for many years.
Bob met Sally Kline in 1957. They were high school sweethearts and attended Greeley High School. They were married in 1960.
He served in the US Navy from 1958-1961, living in Boston while he was stationed on the USS Boston.
Bob owned Robko Roofing and was a member of the American Legion of Greeley.
Bob enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping, fishing in the Poudre Canyon, hunting and golfing. He loved classic cars and was proud of his 1923 Ford Model T Bucket.
True to form, Bob remained a warrior throughout his battle with cancer.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sally Koch; daughter, Shelley (Don) Prevost; sister, Doris Close; sister-in-law, Patty Eppelshiemer; two grandchildren, Bobby (Chelsea) Prevost and Brittainy (Mitch) Muller and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Reagan, Kenzi and Lucas. He is also survived by nephews, Scott Kelley and Michael Kelley.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Koch in 1990, his parents and a sister, Phyllis Fromm.
A Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the La Salle Presbyterian Church, 51 Church Ct., La Salle.
