Ramon Y. Alvarado

Ramon grew up in the Natalia, Texas area. The family moved to Colorado in 1949 and came to Greeley in 1950.

Ramon met Lupe Pisaña in Greeley. They were united in marriage on August 22,1955, at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley. He was a very active member at the church, along with his wife, Lupe. Ramon is a lifetime member of the Knights Of Columbus 4th degree and honor guard, he was also honored as the Knight Of The Month and family of the year.

In 1958, Ramon started working at Cowan Concrete. He worked until retirement in 2001, which was the LaFarge Company.

He was an avid hunter, trap shooter, Broncos fan and also enjoyed camping, fishing, and going to Blackhawk. His traveling adventure with his wife and family throughout the United States including , Mexico, Canada, and he especially loved his trip to Hawaii.

Ramon is survived by his wife Lupe (Pisaña) Alvarado; children, Elida Martinez of Greeley, Ignacio (Nacho) Alvarado of Greeley, Elaria Alvarado of Fort Collins, Benancio (Benny) Alvarado of Greeley and Aurelia (Vince) Chacon of Greeley; grandchildren, Anita (Brian) Lawson of Michigan, Nathanel Hess of Johnstown, Jeremy (Sarah) Hess of Texas, Marcus (Sarah) Chacon of Greeley, Justine (Troy) Tucker of Kersey, Jarrod (Katrina) Hess of Greeley, Michelle (Roman) Arguello of Virgina, Damien (Ashley) Hess of Texas, Carlos Alvarado of Greeley, Marissa (Brandon) Sotelo of Greeley and Rico Alvarado of Greeley. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews as well as sister, Olivia Mercado and brothers, David and Francisco Alvarado.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Adolph Martinez; grandchildren, Sgt. James (OJ) Alvarado, Daniella Alvarado; and siblings, Ignacio and Benancio Alvarado, Micaela Vargas, Socorro and Elida Alvarado.

Visitation 6:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday June 30, 2021 followed by Recitation of The Rosary 7:00 p.m. both at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 p.m. Thursday July 1, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church 1311 3rd St, Greeley, CO. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
