Dear Norris Family, I was sorry to hear of Gene's passing.  I did not know Gene, but recall hearing from Gene's son Gary of the visits he made to see his dad and mom. In listening to Gary I knew well the love he has for his parents. I enjoyed the stories Gary would tell from time to time, especially the home invasion by the friendly local bear while his dad was sleeping on the couch.  My thoughts are with you. Keith

I'm sorry to learn of Gene's passing.  He was one of the best.  I was a member of the 138th Air Guard unit when Gene was there.  While I had been in electronics training school, he always kept my family informed on how I was doing.  He and my father had both been in the Radio & TV business and had been friends that formed a group promoting fair and credible service to their customers.  I recently came across an old picture of my Dad's that was posted in the Tribune showing this group from the Greeley area.  I also believe that Gene had related a story to me that he had been a student in one of James Michener's classes when Michener taught in Greeley.  RIP Gene!

HOW BLESSED WE WERE TO HAVE GENE, AND YOU, DEAR HAZEL, AS NEIGHBORS AS WE BUILT OUR HOMES IN ESTES. WE'RE SURE YOU THOUGHT WE ALWAYS NEEDED YOUR HELP AS, AFTER SELLING YOUR HOME  ACROSS THE CUL-DE-SAC FROM US,YOU BOUGHT THE HOME RIGHT IN BACK OF US. HOW     HAPPY WE WERE!!! HAZEL, YOU ARE ALL IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.  GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

Dear Aunt Hazel, Gary and Dan, please know that we are thinking of you and that our hearts go out to you at this time.  Gene was one of a kind. The most gentle and caring man with such a beautiful smile. Look after each other now and give each other a hug from me.  xo Gerri Lou

Dear Norris family ~ I wish to extend my most sincere prayers for your family as you greet each passing day.  I've learned stories of Gene and I'm sadden to learn I never knew him.  He sounds like a one of a kind man; someone I'd truly be proud to have known.  Gene would have been my Great Uncle by marriage, as Hazel's brother George ""Buck"" is my Grandfather.  I will see you at Gene's services.  Again, my condolences to Gene's family.
