As my Dad might have put it, Marieny was simply a "swell, classy gal, with a heart of pure gold." A small example of her kindness toward me...I always thought that Marieny baked the best pineapple upside down cake I have ever had. Recently, despite having undergone surgery for cancer just a few weeks before, and about to start chemotherapy the next day, Marieny made a pineapple upside down cake and brought it into Murdoch's on my birthday, knowing it was my favorite! Marieny's deep heart of compassion toward all animals was known to us all at Murdoch's; from now on, whenever I make my radio announcement "major puppy alert in the dog food aisle," I will think of her, and know she is there in spirit...

Mariney was such a beautiful soul. We loved her dearly here at Murdoch’s she was our work “grandma”.  She taught me how to have a beautiful out look on life even in the Darkets times. She taught me to live in the moments and not take anything or anyone for granted. She taught me how to love life. 
You will be missed by many.

I first met Marieny at my first job when I sold her cigarettes. I knew then I loved her because we would chat for a bit and laugh so much but it wasn't up until we worked together at Murdoch's and especially these last 3 months that I really got to know the real Marieny and what a beautiful woman she was inside and out. Gone from this world but not from our hearts. Love you always, Marieny. 

Although marieny wore tough skin she had  delicate, soft and beautiful inner workings That won my friendship! I knew I loved her when I discovered her Unicorn tattoo at work one day & realized we had so much in common. I enjoyed working with her, visiting with her and listening to her life stories. She has left an imprint on my heart and some words of hers really stuck on me that I'll  remember in raising my daughter. Marieny was such a genuine, adventurous, beautiful soul who I've had the pleasure of meeting & becoming more then Co workers, but family! 

Marieny was the best and most amazing person, she was fiercely Independent and a tough cookie. She could make you melt with a word or a smile. She could always always make you smile.  Heaven has got a new angel, but she is deeply missed.  Marieny was a blessing to this world.  May your wings soar pretty lady

Marieny was an amazing soul, who touched so many others. She is well loved, and now deeply missed by so many people, her family she created. Marieny was kind, and fiery, and had such a wonderful outlook on life that was infectious and inspiring. She will be sorely missed 💜

Marieny was one amazing woman. She made everyone around her feel special and happy. Marieny brought my life so much happiness and I could never thank her enough.  She was my rock, such a strong woman, hard worker and loving friend. Everyone loved her positivity, humor and stories. I am lucky I get to call her not only my friend but family. I will miss every little thing about you Marieny. I love you!
