Dear Doug, Mary Ann and Family,
    I know that your hearts are heavy now with the loss of your dear Mother. She was a very special lady. I'm glad that she was a part of our world at The Egg & I for so long. Marie was a regular weekly guest at the College Avenue location for many years. When she pulled up to the front door, everybody would excitedly call out ""Marie is here!"". She had a her favorite place to sit... table #20. Jeff, our managing partner there, would bring her the Denver Post newspaper and Marie would read it cover to cover. The staff would come by one by one to sit down and visit with her. She wanted to know what was going on with them and they wanted to share in her life. She touched and brightened the lives of so many of our staff over the years. To say that we will miss her is such an understatement. We will all carry sweet memories of Marie with us the rest of our days. May God bless you all.

Doug,
I am very sorry to hear about Marie's passing.  I still have very fond memories of our days on Eastdale and at the store.  We lost my Dad in Nov of 08 so I understand your sense of loss.  We had a very nice talk with Marie after Dad's funeral.  I found the best medicine was having family, kids, grandkids, and friends around to help remember the many great times you had with your Mom.  Again, you have my deepest sympathies on your loss.
