Libby Vigil, 89, of Greeley, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born on April 20, 1925 to Isidiro and Ulalia (Martinez) Gonzales in Taos, New Mexico and later moved to Ault with her family in 1947. She later moved to Greeley in 1990 to be closer to her family. She loved to go fishing , go to yard sales, play bingo and cook for her family and friends. Libby had a true and deep faith. She loved going to church and listening to Pastor Rigo’s sermons.
She is survived by her daughter, Josie (Jake) Duran of Greeley; special friend, Henry Moreno of Greeley; ten grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving brother, Fred Gonzales of Greeley and sisters, Jane Preciado of Firebaugh, California and Francis Castillo of Houston, Texas.
Libby is preceded in death by her husband, Nick Vigil, two sons, John and George Vigil and two daughters, Anna Andrade and Mona Vigil.
Visitation will be from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Friday followed by service at 3:30 p.m. both at New Hope Christian Fellowship.
