Maria Teresa Benzor

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el falleciemiento de Maria Teresa Benzor a los 79 años. Una amada esposa, madre, abuela y hermana. Maria fallecío en paz el 10 de Marzo de 2025 en su residencia en Milliken, CO rodeada de su familia.

Maria nació el 18 de Octubre de 1945 en San Luis Potosi, S,L,P. Mex hija de Francisca Monjaras y Simon Jimenez. Contrajo matrimonio el 1 de Junio de 1960 con Jose Roberto Benzor, en San Luis Potosi, S,L,P. Mex.

Maria fue una ama de casa, madre, y mujer de gran corazón y de generosidad, siempre dispuesta a ayudar a los demás. A Maria le gustaba tejer, bordar, cocinar sus famosos burritos de chile verde; pero su mejor pasa tiempo fue pasear a sus nietos/as donde se le sobre puso el apodo “WELA GO GO”.

Deja a su esposo Jose, sus cinco hijos, Gerardo(Rosa), Roberto(Maria), Luis(Teresa), Steve(Carmen), Teddy, y cuatro hijas, Celia(Juan), Claudia(Ezequiel), Laura(Jose), Elizabeth(Rob); junto con 40 nietos/as y 43 bisnietos/as. Le precedieron en muerte sus padres, sus dos hermanos Froylan y Marcos, y su hermana Lourdes, asi como su nieto Miguel Angel, y cinco bisnietos: Luca, Camilo, Armani, Elijah y Nehemiah.

Se hara un rosario el lunes 17 de marzo a las 6 de la tarde y seguido con el velorio a las 7-9, ambas en Allnutt - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO. Se celebrará una misa de cuerpo presente en San Juan Baptista en Johnstown,CO el 18 de marzo a las 12pm. La recepción se llevará a cabo en la iglesia Grace Community Church, 2033 South First Street, Johnstown, CO a partir de las 2-5.

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of María Teresa Benzor at the age of 79. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, María passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, at her residence in Milliken, CO, surrounded by her family.

María was born on October 18, 1945, in San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., Mexico, the daughter of Francisca Monjaras and Simón Jiménez. She married José Roberto Benzor on June 1, 1960, in San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., Mexico.

María was a homemaker, a mother, and a woman of great heart and generosity, always willing to help others. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery, and cooking her famous green chile burritos; but above all, her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately gave her the nickname “WELA GO GO.”

She is survived by her husband, José; her five sons, Gerardo (Rosa), Roberto (María), Luis (Teresa), Steve (Carmen), and Teddy; and her four daughters, Celia (Juan), Claudia (Ezequiel), Laura (José), and Elizabeth (Rob). She also leaves behind 40 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Froylan and Marcos; one sister, Lourdes; one grandchild, Miguel Angel; and 5 great grandchildren, Luca, Camilo, Armani, Elijah and Nehemiah.

A rosary will be held on Monday, March 17th at 6:00 p.m., followed by visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., both at Allnutt - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist in Johnstown, CO on March 18th at 12:00 p.m. The reception will be held at Grace Community Church, 2033 South First Street, Johnstown, CO from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
