Malachi was a warrior his whole life and defied all the odds. His heart defect and other medical diagnosis

were profound but his will to live was bigger than the odds against him.

Malachi is survived by his parents; Kurt and Jennifer Walker. His siblings; Kayla, Renae, Noah, Michele,

Erica, Haddassah, Emma, Joshua, Levi, Jacob, Adrian, Micah, Elijah, Daniel and Isaac, sister in law

Michaela. Grandmother Cheryl Walker of Fort Collins, CO. Other important family members include

Byrce and Susan Beckett of Grand Rapids MI and also Ericka Anderson of Grand Rapids MI. Malachi

made a big impact in his short life and was loved by many very important people who helped him fight

his courageous battle. We are so grateful to all of you. He was preceded in death by his paternal

grandfather Robert Walker and Maternal grandmother Cynthia Greaves.

Malachi loved life and was always full of mischief. His favorite things included Disney, trains and

baseball with his hometown team the Colorado Rockies. In his opinion, every airplane went to “the

mouse” and he also went as often as he was able. If a train happened to pass by while he was out, we all

paused to roll down the windows and watch in awe. If Kai had to wear clothes, his choice was always a

Rockies jersey with pants optional. If you stopped by home, Kai was often hanging out with his famous

ice water and french fries watching a Rockies game with his Pete the Cat book and trains within reach.

He also tracked many miles in his power chair around the farm and if no one was watching, out the gate

and down the road to explore the world and watch the sky for airplanes passing overhead.

A celebration of Kai and his life will be held at Clearwater Church Fort Collins CO on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 3:00 PM. It would be our honor to have you join us. Kai touched many and seeing all of you would be a blessing as we honor Malachi. If unable to attend in person please join us via
