Louis Bernard Trujillo, 93, of Greeley, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 1, 1922 in Fort Garland, Colorado to Eutimio and Ignascita (Trujillo) Trujillo. He was one of 14 siblings.
Louis was raised in Colorado. He married Doris Montoya. They were married for 72 years. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 15 years and the Weld County Highway Department, until his retirement.
Louis was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnstown for at least 60 years. He was also active with the Senior Citizens Center in Milliken.
Louis enjoyed working with his hands, especially doing woodwork. He had a wonderful work ethic. He instilled a love of working outdoors (painting and gardening) into his children. Louis was an avid sports fan; he loved the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche.
Louis is survived by his daughters, Priscilla (Fred), Terri, Gerri (Tim) and Darlene; sons, Danny (Jane), Bill (Margie), Andrew (Michelle) and Mark (Thea); four sisters, Alice, Angus, Henada and Orcelia; two brothers, Tellie and Ray and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris, son, Leroy, daughters, Louise Moreno and Patty Trujillo, son-in-law, Jerry, four brothers, Manuel, Bobby, Leo and Alex and three sisters, Mary, Sally and Genera.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnstown. Interment Johnstown Cemetery.
