Lisa Anne Van Doren

Lisa Anne Van Doren, 52, of Estes Park, died at home Monday morning January 6, 2014. Lisa was born June 20, 1961 in Kansas City, KS. Her parents were Phil and Barbara (Jones) Van Doren. Lisa graduated from Garden City, KS High School in 1979 and began working at Dillon’s Grocery in the business office. She later moved into Dillon’s Quick Shop management team and worked in Larned and Dodge City. Lisa was active in the Girl Scouts of America for many years. She also enjoyed acting and singing. Health issues forced her into disability and in 2008 she moved from Wichita to Estes Park where she was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church. Lisa is survived by her mother Barbara of Estes Park, brothers Dr. Bryan Van Doren of Tulsa, OK, Mark Van Doren of Victoria, TX and Eric Van Doren of Garden City, KS; sisters Susan Connor of Lee’s Summit, MO and Karen Bare of Hutchinson, KS. She was preceded in death by her father Phil in 2008. A Mass of the Christian Burial celebrated Lisa’s life on Thursday January 9, 2014 at 10:00 at Our Lady of the Mountains Church. Burial took place at Estes Valley Memorial Gardens.
