Linda Jane Starr left this earth for eternal life on Nov. 10, 2016. Linda was born to John and Jane Algozzine on Dec. 22nd 1944 in Albany N.Y. Linda was raised in Cairo N.Y. along side her Brother John. In 1966 she gave birth to her daughter Melanie. She eventually made her way to Co. in 1969 where she continued to live until her passing. Linda and Mike Starr were married in July of 1986 and shared a great many a journey together. Some of which included the ownership of a tavern in Littleton and eventually retiring from owning an Italian restaurant in Empire Co. They moved to Walden Co. where Linda continued working, at the Stockman’s bar and spent her free time fishing most every lake in North Park. Linda loved gardening, flowers and serving up a home cooked meal on a holiday to any and everyone. After the passing of Mike Starr and health issues, Linda moved to Berthoud Co, where her daughter and son in law reside. Linda became very active in volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, as well as a part of “The Red Hat Ladies” group. Linda was also a member of the Berthoud Athletic Club and attended exercise classes on a regular basis where she made many lasting friendships along the way. Linda was also a member of the Light of Christ Ecumenical Catholic Church. She was most recently planning on a mission trip with her church. Linda had four grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom she loved so very much. Linda will always be remembered for her outpouring of love to family, friends and community. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Michael Starr and her granddaughter Nicole Starr. She is survived by her Daughter Melanie Johnson, Son in law Jason, (Berthoud) Her Brother John,( New York) Grandchildren Amanda, Samantha and Brock and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at Light of Christ Ecumenical Catholic Church 1000 15th Ave. Longmont Co. 80501 on Nov.16th at 11:00 A.M. Luncheon to follow. In light of Linda’s love of flowers a floral piece or a donation to her church would be a great honor in her memory.
