Linda Dolores Bunner, 71, of Greeley, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Ft. Collins. She was born July 11, 1948 in Torrington, Connecticut to Joseph James and Angelina Yolanda (Bruno) Ferrante.
Linda grew up in Connecticut, graduating from Torrington High School. She lived in east coast communities until moving to New Mexico and later moving to Missouri.
On January 14, 1967, she married Leonard Patane. They later divorced. She married Greg Bunner on September 6, 1987 in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1994, they came to Greeley and were members of the West Greeley Baptist Church for numerous years. In 2011, Linda started the library at the church, where she served as the Librarian. She also helped with forming the church food basket program. They delivered many food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Linda loved time with her entire family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her many dogs and cats, especially her cockapoo dog, “Rowdy”. She also loved to feed the squirrels and birds. Most recently she enjoyed time at the city parks.
Throughout her lifetime, she enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, flower gardens and writing poetry. She and her husband traveled to various craft shows. She loved to cook and bake. She was known for her homemade spaghetti sauce.
Linda is survived by her husband, Greg of Greeley; daughters, Jenny Warren (Will) of Santa Rosa, New Mexico and Jeanette Leiker (Aric) of Commerce City; sons, Michael Patane (Reni) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Frank Patane (Sandy) of North Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph James Patane (Jennifer) of Salem, South Dakota and Jonathan Bunner of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters, Donna Carpenter (Tony) of Rahway, New Jersey and Cindi Walter (Scott) of Sugar Creek, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Taylor and brother, Mario Bruno.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at West Greeley Baptist Church, 3251 West 22nd Street, Greeley. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
