Kaye was philanthropist serving as the President of the Monfort Family Foundation. Her personal philanthropic focus was cancer research and youth in Weld County serving several years on the Boys and Girls Clubs of Weld County Board of Directors. She founded the Cattle Baron’s Ball benefiting the American Cancer Society. Where she served as chair for 6 years and as an active planning committee member for many more. The event has raised $11 million since 1995 and brought together our community for almost 20 years.
Kaye had an easy smile, with a fun loving outlook on life. She was known for her love of reading, travel, being with friends and cheering on her favorite teams. Kaye cherished spending time with friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Kaye is survived by her daughters, Chancy (Zach) Love, Jena (Michael) Ruvolo, and Keiley (Paul) Tappon. Grandchildren Faith Ruvolo, Tripp Ruvolo, Warren Love, Pella Love, and Abigail Love. And siblings Kyle Futo, Dick (Karen) Monfort, and Charlie (Charlotte) Monfort.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Warren Monfort, and mother, Patricia Ann Monfort-Miller.
A celebration of Kaye’s life will be held at Harmony Club (4175 Club Dr. Timnath, Colorado 80547) on Thursday, May 2nd from 1:00-4:00 with a brief service followed by a celebration of her life.
