Josie Marie Reese was born in Pagosa Springs, Colorado to Viviana Maria Archuleta and Joseph Lotario Gallegos. The family, including her three brothers, moved to Denver when the children were in primary school.
Josie was a homemaker who raised her three boys in Littleton, Colorado. After raising children, she worked in retail and participated in civic activities in the community. She lived in Aspen, Boulder, Craig, and Greeley, Colorado.
Josie was beautiful in spirit and demeanor, was loving, nurturing, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers; Terry, Gilbert, and Claude Gallegos, and her son Gary Maraggos.
She is survived by her husband Charles R. Reese, her sons Bill and Tony Maraggos, along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Josie will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634. Following the Mass will be an interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
