Josephine Adeline Sanchez

Josephine Adeline Mendoza-Sanchez, Josie, entered eternal life on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Born in Greeley, Colo. to Julio and Lupe Mendoza, her loving spirit is carried on by her four children, one daughter and sister with her in heaven, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, and a myriad family of friends from every walk of life.

A devout Roman Catholic, she exemplified love, expecting nothing and sharing with all. We all knew her to stand strong in her beliefs and advocate for the less fortunate and against injustices.

Josie loved family picnics in the summertime, including friends and friends of friends. No picnic was too large or small, she savored the opportunity for everyone to be together with her. She is, undoubtedly, enjoying the picnic where she is now.

Josie will want us all to remember her infectious smile and adoration, to go forward in life with no regret, dreaming without fear, and loving without limits.

Visitation will be at Stoddard Funeral Home, Greeley, from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, with rosary recited at 6 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 10, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greeley. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
