Joseph was raised in his early years in Georgia and then later moved to New Jersey. He received his Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Phoenix Institute of Technology. He did many things throughout his career. He was brilliant and never liked to be bored in a job.
Joseph served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
Joseph was married to Karen Cento for over 20 years, then on June 25, 1995 he married Diana York in Tennessee. When he met Diana, he had three more children to raise.
Joseph enjoyed listening to music and dancing. He loved any kind of gadget and could look at anything and figure out how to fix it.
Joseph had a great sense of humor and could make everyone laugh. He was always happy and positive. He had a giant heart and was very friendly and compassionate; everyone loved him. He always said he wanted to leave people with a smile, because you never know if they needed it.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Diana Frailey of Greeley; daughters, Jocelyn Frailey (Brian Thomas) of Mesa, Arizona and Sonia Morgan of Greeley; sons, Richard (Charlene) Morgan of Jersey City, New Jersey and Christopher (Jill) Morgan of Manchester, New Hampshire; sisters, Patsy Pettway of Florida, Edna Wilkes of Georgia and Rosemary Wilkes; brother, E.J. Wilkes of Georgia and grandchildren, Corbin, Terrel, Peyton, Olivia, Christopher Jr., Jaimenson, Ethan, Jeremy, Kayla and Cheyenne Autumn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Wilks, father, Edward Frailey, brother, Buddy Wilks and sister, Katherine Yarbrough.
