José se crio en Greeley y, tras terminar la preparatoria, trabajó como conserje en la Escuela del Condado de Weld, Distrito 6, durante ocho años. Amaba su trabajo y siempre tenía ganas de ir. José formó parte del Club de Conquistadores y fue miembro de la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día.
José era alguien siempre alegre, sonriente y con una risa contagiosa. Ayudaba a la gente incluso en sus dificultades y se preocupaba profundamente por su familia; siempre eran lo primero. A José le gustaba ir a la biblioteca, ver a los Denver Nuggets y a los Broncos, jugar videojuegos y comer pizza. También le encantaba escuchar música, pero a José no le gustaba nada picante. José era un soñador y estaba muy emocionado de ser tío cuando supo que su hermano, Andrés, estaba esperando un bebé.
Extrañaremos profundamente el gran corazón de José. Le sobreviven su padre y su madrastra, José y Juanita Aguirre; sus hermanas, Evelyn Aguirre, Joanna Aguirre, Salomé Landeros, Bárbara Landeros y Brielle Aguirre; sus hermanos, Andrés (Elizabeth) Aguirre, Carlos Aguirre, Sergio Landeros, Ángel Landeros, Alfredo Oliveros y Daniel Landeros; su sobrino, Kaleb Aguirre; así como sus numerosas tías, tíos y primos.
Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Amelia Meza; su abuela, Lucía Meza; su bisabuelo, Amado Baeza; y su bisabuela, Balvina Juanita Baeza.

José Eligio Landeros, 32, of Evans, Colorado passed away on April 8, 2025. He was born on June 9, 1992, in Colorado.
Jose was raised in Greeley and after finishing high school, he worked for the Weld County School – District 6 as a custodian for 8 years. He loved his job and was always looking forward to going. Jose was part of the Pathfinder Club and a member of 7th Day Adventist Church.
Jose was someone who was always cheerful, smiling, and had a very contagious laugh. He helped people even if he was struggling and cared deeply for his family; they always came first. Jose liked going to the library, watching the Denver Nuggets and Broncos, playing video games, and eating pizza. He also loved listening to music, but Jose did not like anything spicy. Jose was a dreamer and was so excited to be an uncle when he found out his brother, Andres, was expecting.
Jose’s kind heart will be missed deeply. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jose and Juanita Aguirre; sisters, Evelyn Aguirre, Joanna Aguirre, Salome Landeros, Barbara Landeros and Brielle Aguirre; brothers, Andres (Elizabeth) Aguirre, Carlos Aguirre, Sergio Landeros, Angel Landeros, Alfredo Oliveros and Daniel Landeros; nephew, Kaleb Aguirre; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Meza; grandma, Lucia Meza; great-grandpa, Amado Baeza; and great-grandma, Balvina Juanita Baeza.
A Visitation will be held for Jose on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, CO, 80631. On Thursday, April 17, 2025, there will be a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. also at Stoddard Funeral Home followed by a burial at Linn Grove Cemetery, 700 Cedar Ave, Greeley, CO 80631.
