John Arthur Van Arsdale

John Arthur Van Arsdale, 78, passed away at his home on July 7, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with ALS with Lou Gehrig’s disease. John was born on January 07, 1943 to Charles and Mary Van Arsdale in Seneca Falls, New York.

John grew up in Seneca Falls going to Waterloo Highschool and graduating in 1961. While in High School John worked not only on the family farm but also at a local Dairy Farm. After graduating John joined the Air Force where he served our Country for 5 ½ years. John went on to work for Retail Credit Company which later turned into Equifax as an Insurance Investigator. In 1977 John Graduated from University of New Mexico with an Associates Degree in Business. Once he got bored with that he worked a Contract Representative for Oil States Industries. In 1982 he formed JVA Sales LLC. In North Dakota and migrated to Colorado selling tools and parts to Oil and Gas workers here in Greeley.

John married Sharon Strout on February 4, 1963 in New Mexico. Together they had 3 children, the eldest Deborah Van Arsdale born in 1964, followed by John Randall Van Arsdale in 1967 and in 1968 Gregory Allen Van Arsdale joined the family. They spent a lot of time fishing, hunting, camping and traveling as a family.

John is survived by his Wife Sharon Van Arsdale, Children: Deborah Chase-Eveatt (Robert Eveatt), John Randall Van Arsdale, and Gregory Allen Van Arsdale (Laura). Grandchildren: Elizabeth Marie Chase-Jones, Landon Van Arsdale and Greg Van Arsdale. Great-Grandchildren: Makayla, Taylor, Oliver and Mckenna.
