Jill L. Renno, 50, beloved wife, daughter, and sister, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born August 23, 1966, in Fort Collins.
Jill was a Greeley girl—a student at Scott Elementary, Maplewood, Heath, and Greeley West High School, graduating in 1984. She was a gymnast, tennis player, and Greeley West Pom Pom girl. She was kind, outgoing, and simply put—fun to be around.
Jill was a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in marketing. She was a top student and resource for others while serving as a resident assistant at Parmelee Hall. Jill began her professional career at Aims Community College working in the areas of student recruiting, counseling, and human resources. Her empathy and compassion for others were put to good use and her impact was noteworthy. While working at Aims, she met her future husband, Paul Renno, the love of her life. They were married on July 15, 2000, in Greeley.
Jill had sparkle and an infectious laugh. Her personality and zest for life were not diminished even throughout her 45-year battle with juvenile diabetes. She was presented with numerous challenges and yet faced each obstacle with a determination that inspired her family, friends, physicians, and all who knew her. Jill was always grateful to the many people who contributed to her well being and went above and beyond for her. Their dedication and service to her were never taken for granted and will forever be appreciated. This was epitomized by her husband Paul who was the captain of “Team Jill.” Anyone who met her always remembered Jill’s beautiful blue eyes, her contagious smile, and her upbeat, positive attitude.
Jill is survived by her husband, Paul Renno of Greeley; her parents, John and Jonna Christensen of Greeley; her brother, John J.
