Born in Greeley to the late Forrest E. and Mary Griffin Wiley. Jeff attended Greeley schools and graduated from Greeley West High School in 1973.
Jeff worked with his late brother Chuck Wiley laying carpet and doing interior and exterior painting. He later worked on his own construction, framing houses, trimming trees, flagging for the highway department, and various other odd jobs.
Jeff was a lover of the outdoors. He loved to pan for gold and go rock and arrowhead hunting. He also liked to hike and be in the mountains as much as possible until his health declined.
He was also very artistic; he did fine art painting and drawing. He also made walking sticks and canes from tree roots that he found in the mountains.
He loved reading. He especially loved reading poetry and wrote a lot of his own.
Jeff is survived by a sister, Donna Gideon, and her husband Tim of Greeley and a brother-in-law, Mike Trimble, also of Greeley. And many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his parents and a brother, he was predeceased by a sister Mary Elaine Trimble.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
