March 27, 1960 ~ October 15, 2011
Jacqueline Adelle Newkirk, Born March 27, 1960, died October 15, 2011. She accepted Jesus in February 2010 after 40 years of searching for God.
She then embraced God and tried to give glory to Him every day. God gave her peace, taught her of trust and acceptance. Even though she was immobilized by lung cancer, there were still things she loved to do for and with the Lord. Prayer, encouragement and love don’t take a lot of exertion. She was a member of Grace Community Church of Johnstown.
Her father made a career of the Army and she lived in many places throughout the world. She lived in Maryland and the family moved to Colorado in 1987. They settled in the Akron area. She attended Northeastern Junior College, where she completed the LPN program. She later graduated from Morgan Community College in Ft. Morgan where she earned her degree and became a Registered Nurse.
She cherished so many wonderful, loving and interesting people in life. In death she leaves behind her husband, James Newkirk; daughter, son-in-law, and beloved grandchildren, Amy, Scott, Bailey and Merrick Weber of Aurora; son, Richard Miller II of Tacoma, Washington; mother, Barbara David of Greeley; sisters, Jenny Kelly of Texarkana, Texas and Judy David of Newark, Delaware; brothers, Daniel David II of Baltimore, Maryland; sister in life, Pierrette Divorne of Greeley; 3 nieces; a nephew; 2 great nieces; also the Miller family and Cooley family, all of Akron; a host of extended family and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery David.

Visitation 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Celebration of Life 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grace Community Church Of Johnstown, 2033 West South 1st Street.
