Memories of times spent with Dean have never left me.  Dean is probably all ready in the arms of Jesus.  Not only an Uncle, but such a remarkable man is now looking down over us.  God bless and peace be with you, Edith and girls.

Even though the times I spent with Uncle Dean were few and far between, I truly loved and admired him.  May his soul now rest in the peace of Christ.

I already miss Uncle Dean very much.  I remember how eager I was to meet Uncle Dean and Aunt Edith a few years after my father, Harold Decker, went home to be with The Lord in September, 1956 (when I was 2 years old).  Uncle Dean and Aunt Edith were very gracious to let me stay with them a number of times when they lived in California...times full of great memories.
On my last visit to Loveland, I swelled with tears as Uncle Dean handed me a tool that had belonged to my father.  That gift was a substantial link to my father in a long chain of memories provided vicariously by Uncle Dean over the years.
I am most thankful and comforted by the knowledge that Uncle Dean knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior.  Because of this I know he is in heaven!  Someday I will be able to hug him and my father in a long-overdue joint embrace.
Aunt Edith, Amelia, and Heidi - I love you all and pray that The Comforter will come.
Romans 8:38-39:
   For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

My heart is heavy as I write this.  I feel a great loss.  I will miss our phone calls, but will treasure my memories of us growing up in the same home.    Dean was my uncle and big brother and has been all my life.    My prayers and thoughts are with Edith J., Amelia and Heidi at this time.

You are so loved and will be greatly missed, Uncle Dean, but realize you are now in a far better place with no pain...in Heaven with your Lord. 
Our visits with you in Loveland were special times and will be cherished.  We loved having you tell us about your memories of  growing up in Oil City and about departed family members.  Your wonderful memory was full of family  history that we enjoyed hearing about and are so thankful you shared those memories with us during our visits at your home in Colorado.  I'm missing you so much already, but will see you in Heaven one day.
Our loving thoughts and prayers go to Aunt Edith, Heidi, and Amelia.  May their good memories be of comfort to them.
