Hazel Marie Brown, 81, of Greeley died June 18, 2014 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. She was born April 4, 1933 in Montrose, Colorado to Charles and Emma (Thatcher) Carey. Hazel married Joseph Brown in 1956 in Delta, Colorado.
Hazel loved to go fishing and camping, reading and crafting. She also loved visits and the time spent with her family. Hazel was a member of Glad Tidings Church.
Hazel is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Mike) Anderberg, Linda (Randy) Jordan, Becky Gearhart (Dennis); sons, Joe Brown and Charles Brown; sister, Betty Ulrich; brother, Jim Carey; half-brother, Dean Longstreet; eight grandchildren, Janelle Shultz (Buck), Misty Krawczyk (Todd), Crystal Davis (Bryan), Brandy Jordan, Shantel Hero , Sherrie Hero, Amanda Gearhart, Christopher Gearhart and nine great grandchildren, Jordan Shultz, Brinley Shultz, Chloe Shultz, Aspen Krawczyk, Chase Chrysler, Christian Chrysler, Camron Chrysler, Austin Hero and Lucian Carville. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and her husband.
Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 21 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
