Harriet grew up in Durango where she graduated from Durango High School. After her marriage to Glenn Francis Farnham in 1933 she resided in Silverton, Colorado and Cedaredge, Colorado. Harriet and Glenn moved to Greeley in the mid 1970’s. They were married for fifty-seven years. Glenn died in 1990.
Harriet was an exceptional seamstress. She would never admit it but she was a wonderful cook and she baked delicious pies. Harriet was a selfless woman who enjoyed doing for others. She never complained other than having to deal with ants and mosquitoes at family picnics. Harriet had a deep faith in the Lord, she loved reading God’s word and listening to Christian Radio. Harriet built a strong bond with several of the employees at Fairacres Manor, where she received wonderful care.
Harriet is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Wick of Palmer, AK; brother, Ernest Day of Durango; three grandsons, Lonnie (Barb) Wick of Irvine, CA, Stanley (Laura) Wick of Palmer, AK, and Scott (Marianne) Wick of Palmer, AK; two nieces, Colett Harry, Karen Fransen and families; eight great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Melvin Wick; sisters, Margaret Henderson and Alma Rutherford; brothers, Lester Day and Johnny Day.

Memorial service 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at Fairacres Manor. Interment 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Lyons Cemetery.
