Gerald was born in Greeley, Colorado on December 15, 1941 to Alanso and Janice (Goodwin) Moody. Gerald attended College High School and enlisted in the Navy on November 27, 1959. He was honorably discharged in 1965. He later married Judith Hewitt, whom he had met on a blind date, in Greeley, Colorado in 1970.
Gerald then went on to become a banker, and was employed by numerous banks and finance companies throughout Greeley. He retired from Compass Bank in Greeley. Gerald was also a member of St. Paul’s Congregational, and later First Congregational Churches. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels, and valued community service.
Gerald had many hobbies, including genealogy, bowling, softball, taking cruises, and traveling all over the world. He was a real family man, and enjoyed making all his children laugh. He was outdoorsy, and loved camping, and his daily walks.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Judith; step-son, Steven (Karen) Schroeder; brothers, Les (Paula) and Robert (Micki) Moody; and grandchildren, Nicole and Steve Schroeder Jr.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Alanso and Janice; and his daughters, Morey and Jami Moody.
