Aunt Eleanor,
  My heartfelt condolences to you and my cousins.  I have fond memories as a child visiting Utica and and seeing you and Uncle Fred and my cousins. Fred always has my admiration as a gentle and very nice man. He will be missed and my 
heart goes out to your family. I know he is in a better place now. I pray time will heal this sad loss for your family and all whom loved him.

Dear Ellie and family,
We were saddened to hear of Fred's death, today Jan 8th as we came to do
dog visits with Mary Ann's, dog, Scottie, at Center Ave.  Fred's quiet
determination was always evident when we visited.  Fred's sparkling eyes
gleamed back at us when we visited, he was one of our favorites and we
always enjoyed visiting with you as well.  We shall miss that!  Know that
we are praying for you and your family, and ask that God will continue to
send His comfort and love to you and your family.  Many times we enjoyed
talking about what a nice family you have.  May you all be comforted with
a peace that passes all understanding, and have your strength renewed!

Dear Ellie,
We were so sorry to hear of Fred's passing.  When Scotty, Marguerite and I came in to Centre Ave for our Monday afternoon visit, we noticed right away that you and Fred were not there.  We always enjoyed the opportunity to visit with you and Fred.  He was such a gentle, kind man.  You were such a loving, caring wife, spending so much time with him at the Centre.  You will both be greatly missed by us.  You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts.

While reading the Columbus Dispatch,I read of the passing of your family member. I grew up on Stanton Ave and my husband and I still live in my childhood home. I grew up with John. The past two years you and Fred have been a wonderful part of my life.  The two of you shared such a wonderful loving relationship and your dedication to Fred has been awesome.  I enjoyed our visits at Centre so very much.  When I read the article in the paper and what was written about Fred making faces - I can still see him with his ""bitter beer"" face when he had to take his medicine all crushed up.  He would always give me a big smile when I would grab his juice and give him a drink of something good.
