Frank married Suzan Yvonne Blocker on April 17, 1993 and they raised one son, Matthew, and two daughters, Rochelle and Ashlee.
Frank attended the St. Louis University High School. He went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla, with further coursework in Mechanical Engineering and graduate courses in Mechanical Design through the International Correspondence School and Penn State University: King of Prussia Center. As a Jesuit Priest, Frank gained multiple degrees, including a Master’s of Divinity from Weston School of Theology, another Master’s in Developmental Psychology at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkley, and a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from St. Louis University. Throughout his life, Frank also studied within various universities, performing coursework at Rockhurst College within many disciplines, courses in Philosophy and Theology while attending St. Louis University as a special graduate student, and art classes at the Kansas City Art Institute.
Frank worked as a Nuclear Engineer for over 5 years before becoming a Jesuit Priest. He served as a Priest for 26 years and while working towards a PhD in Philosophy, he taught at Ohio State University. He later became a Bishop in the American Independent Catholic Church and served for many years. After many years of devotion and service to his faith, he retired to an adventurous life alongside his devoted partner, Suzan.
Frank enjoyed bowling, baseball and football, and loved to watch the Broncos, Cardinals, and Rockies in action. He went fishing and camping often, and considered the natural world to be sacred, as well as the time he spent within it. Frank golfed frequently, and loved to travel; he would take his beloved wife with him on cruises as often as he could manage. He had a huge passion for learning as is evident by his vast educational resume, and he found much joy and comfort within the pages of his favorite books.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; his son, Matthew; daughters, Rochelle and Ashlee; brothers, Leon Adams Jr. and Joseph Adams; sisters, Ida Parker, Trudy Maggard, Anne Marie Wilson and Susan Adams; grandchildren, Amanda, Kaitlin, Riley, Alexis and Evan, along with one great-grandchild on the way.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Leon Stewart Adams Sr. and Alice Gertrude Adams
