Felix Vega Renteria

Felix Vega Renteria, age 81, of Greeley, died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his home. Felix, known to his family and friends as Tio Cuate, was born in Urrutia, Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Jesus and Cruz Vega. He was raised and educated in Mexico. Felix worked in Mexico before coming to America in the early 70's. Felix married Virginia Padilla in 1972. He worked in construction throughout the United States before retiring to Greeley in 2006. He enjoyed playing pool and poker. Felix will be remembered most for his sense of humor, he could make anyone laugh, even strangers.

Felix will be sorely missed by his wife Virginia; daughter, Maria Vega; 4 sons: Santana, Hector, Felix and Juan; 19 grandkids; 4 great-grandkids; sister, Mariana; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandra; brothers: Jesus, Ascencion, Esteban, Cruz, and Julio; sisters: Manuela, Brijida, Lidia and his twin, Maria Felix.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm - 8 pm Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley, Colo. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6 pm. Funeral services and burial will be held in his hometown of Urrutia.
