Eleanor Irene Heckman was born February 28, 1926, to John and Emma (Wiest) Lesser in Johnstown, CO. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1944. She married Alvin Renke June 2, 1946. After being widowed, she married Jake Heckman January 20, 1978. Eleanor worked at State Farm Insurance for many years, and later at North Weld Herald, retiring at 81.
She is survived by daughter Deborah (Larry) Helzer, daughter-in-law Pamela Renke, and grandchildren Ethan (Sarah Crosby) Renke, Jamie (Glenn) Keil, and Joshua Wertz. Also, step-grandchildren Joe (Nikki) Seaman, Karla Seaman, Karalea Helzer, Colleen Helzer, Patty (Bill) McDonnough, Dean Kerbs, and Kimberly (Mark) Ross. Eleanor was blessed with 11 step-great and step-great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, son Douglas Renke, and sister Norma Sitzman.
