Donald Ray Mitchell

Don was raised in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central High School. He worked for the Great Western Sugar Factory in Johnstown for five years and Kodak of Colorado in Windsor for 20 years.

On June 18, 1967 he married Cheryl Fritzler in Platteville. They were married for 49 years.

Don loved playing basketball and going to auctions. He enjoyed taking his family to the Greeley Stampede. He also enjoyed taking his convertible to the mountains.

Don is survived by his wife, Cheryl D. Mitchell; daughter, Ann M. (Scott) Hansen; son, Todd A. (Lisa) Mitchell; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicole, Laneya, Garret, Blake and Erika; step-grandchildren, Alyssa and Nick Owens; great-grandson, Dexton; step-great-grandson, Brayden; longtime friends, Jim & Nettie Smith and cousins, Karen, Kristie and Kevin Dimmit.

He was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Ruth (Dimmit) Mitchell.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
