In 1997 David moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to be closer to his mother and sister, Lisa. A Jack of all trades, David was a woodworker, call center worker and many other things. He had an 18 year career as a repair technician for Comcast.
David married Denise Smith on June 27, 2000 in Las Vegas. They had three children together, and David also embraced Denise’s two children, Douglas and Alyssa. David was a wonderful husband and father who lived a very fun and full life. He was outgoing, and could talk to anyone about anything. He loved camping, martial arts, photography, cooking, graphic arts, and was always wanting to learn and try new things. He also loved eating out and trying new restaurants.
David will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his love of life will live on through his children.
David is survived by his wife, Denise Sachs of Evans, Colorado; two daughters, Samantha and Alyssa; two sons, Sean and Joshua; a grandson, Arlo; brothers, Mark Smith, Steve Sachs and John Michael Sachs; and sisters, Lisa Smith and Saralyn “Tracey” Stevenson.
He was preceded in death by his son SSG Douglas Collins and his mother Donna Quasney.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Allnutt – Macy Chapel in Greeley.
